I liked looking for certain areas around the school to find pictures for these elements of art. I liked how we had to go outside to use the natural earth resources as artwork for the elements of art. I also liked using photoshop to edit our posts.

  1. I think the contrast between the dark evergreen and light green fence in the detailed its geometric shape well. I also think that the subject of the value photo was unique as well as incorporated good use of light and dark shades. I would change the background surface and angle of the Form photo to make the tissue box stand out more and make it look like less of a snapshot. The composition technique used in the organic shape photo is fill the frame to focus only on the feather.

  2. My favorite photos in this collection are the photo of Geometric Shape and the photo of Man-made line. The Geometric Shape photo has great use of the techniques PATTERN, REPETITION, and SYMMETRY. The Man-made line photo has a good use of LEADING LINES with the bricks. One photo that can be improved upon is Space (Blurry) photo. While it accomplishes the prompt of having a blurry background, it isn’t that noticeable. Maybe if the feather was closer to the camera that problem would be solved. All in all I enjoyed these photos.

  3. The two pictures that stood out to me are geometric shape and manmade line. The picture’s geometric shape is very good because it has good lighting and the colors really pop out of the picture. The picture manmade line is also very good because of how you can see the lines popping out and how the texture is also on the wall this is very cool and makes it a great picture.
The picture that I think can be improved is color because how the outline of white around the flower makes it look obscure. I would have liked it if it looked more natural and made the color pop out. Could have done that by using the lighting and angle.
The picture value has very good leading lines because the light that reflects off the floor leads to the object on the floor. The figure-to-ground is also very good because the contrast between the object and the background really makes the hallway stand out as well. The picture also fills the frame because this close-up of the object on the ground makes the hallway look great and the object on the ground also pops out.
